Public Hash Cracking is now available

- 2009-08-09 12:50:36
A new feature has now been added to the website - Public Hash Cracking.
In the "Hash Cracking" tab, you can now download the list of uncracked hashes so you can test your strengths against our database of hashes.
If you manage to crack any of them, you can submit the plaintext password and you will gain credit (if your logged in) on the Top 100 page.
Do you have what it takes to get to the top?

On top of that, a new language system has been implemented on the website. Unfortunately that means we have to translate everything again. See this if you want to help

FreeRainbowTables.com is up and running again!

- 2009-07-31 00:08:44
After the news about the shutdown of FreeRainbowTables.com, i recieved many emails about the continuation.
After reviewing most of them, i've come to a solution.
The FreeRainbowTables.com server is now generously hosted on a dedicated server by ZiaSpace

The BOINC server is up and running again - See the download page for information about how to help us generate even more rainbow tables

Distributed Cracking is still down (for now)

Status of freerainbowtables.com

- 2009-07-20 00:17:12
Shortly after the previous newsline on freerainbowtables.com, it was slashdotted.
So over the weekend, i recieved numerous emails regarding hosting of the site.
If you sent me an email, then please have patience. I'm going through all of them and trying to determine the best host for freerainbowtables.com

Shutdown of freerainbowtables.com

- 2009-07-16 01:56:40
Freerainbowtables.com is now officially inactive.
Over the last months i had no time to support it anymore and so i decided to shut it down. The website + forums will remain active, but no tables will be generated anymore. The tables generated so far are still available for download at both the GARR mirror and tbhost.eu
If you can't (or won't) download the tables from the mirrors, i can still offer to ship all the available tables on an 1.5TB external harddrive for 550US$

If YOU wan't to continue this project, contact me at admin@freerainbowtables.com and i will send you the sources needed to overtake it.

BOINC server finally up again!

- 2009-06-03 15:23:13
As the title says, the BOINC server is finally up again.
After the system was down for 3 days, i had problems starting it up. All the clients trying to connect caused a DDoS attack on the server.
Now we are back online again. Lets get some work done!
