Hello

I'm trying to get free rainbow tables in order to crack pdf AES passwords.
Where can I find them?
I know that several commercial products (such as elcomsoft or passware) sell them, then they can be made.

regards

You are misinformed this only works for encryption version 1 revision 2, which is 40 bit RC4.

You can open the PDF in notepad and search for "/Encrypt":
trailer
...
/Encrypt xx yy R
...
%%EOF

Then you need to find object xx yy. You usually can just search for "xx yy obj". This object will look something like this:
xx yy obj
<<
/Filter /Standard
/R 2
/O (...)
/U (...)
/P -60
/V 1
/Length 40
>>
endobj

If you have a different /R ? and/or /V ? then it will not work.

No.

Nowhere legally and free, but I'm toying with the idea of doing a kickstarter to buy a server with at least 8, 3 TB hard drives in a RAID 6 to provide guaranteed "instant" decryption of old 40 bit RC4 encrypted Word, Excel (some are not compatible), and PDFs (3 TB each). This would make rainbow tables worthless for these three file types. Most of the rest of the disk space will be for cracking MD5s.
