f0cker, it's unfortunate that nvidia doesn't release .a's so I can't do a static build as this is going to be a fun issue:

Debian 6.0.2 GTX470

Code:
./rcracki_mt -l test_lm -g -t 1 /mnt/rainbow_tables/freerainbowtables/RTI2/lm/lm_all-space#1-7_?
Using 1 threads for pre-calculation and false alarm checking...
Found 80 rainbowtable files...

lm_all-space#1-7_0_10000x51209963_distrrtgen[p][i]_19.rti2
Chain Position is now 51209963
307259778 bytes read, disk access time: 2.37s
searching for 2 hashes...
plaintext of 49a90e8340ca88e4 is T35T1NG
cryptanalysis time: 44.74 s

lm_all-space#1-7_0_10000x67108864_distrrtgen[p][i]_07.rti2

Crashed my display driver on my GeForce 8800 GTS (640 MB RAM) when checking false alarms. Driver restarts and rcracki hung like this:
Code:
Z:\rbc\_rcracki_mt_cuda_v2>rcracki_mt.exe ..\md5 -l 110920_md5.txt -g -t 1 -o 110920_md5.txt.res
Using 1 threads for pre-calculation and false alarm checking...
Found 1401 rainbowtable files...

md5_alpha-numeric-space#1-8_0_10000x55688140_distrrtgen[p][i]_9.rti
reading index... 51152783 bytes read, disk access time: 0.05 s
reading table... 445505120 bytes read, disk access time: 9.00 s
searching for 162 hashes...
Checking false alarms for hash 1 of 162.

In Windows Logs:
Code:
Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

Drivers Version: 8.17.12.6724 (2-23-2011)

GPU Caps Viewer says:
Code:
===================================[ NVIDIA CUDA Capabilities ]
- CUDA Device 0
   - Device name: GeForce 8800 GTS
   - Compute Capability: 1.0
   - Total Memory: 615 MB
   - Shader Clock Rate: 1188 MHz
   - Multiprocessors: 12
   - Warp Size: 32
   - Max Threads Per Block: 512
   - Threads Per Block: 512 x 512 x 64
   - Grid Size: 65535 x 65535 x 1
   - Registers Per Block: 8192
   - Texture Alignment: 256 byte
   - Total Constant Memory: 64 Kb

Maybe not enough RAM or Cuda is just outdated on that thing ... ? :)

Okay, rcracki_mt with CUDA support has been updated. It looks like it was a bug affecting all hashroutines EXCEPT MD5. So I will encourage everyone to download it and try again!
Let's hear what your results are!

version 4 has now been added. Version 3 didn't use GPU for false alarm checking. (stupid me!)

thanks PB for the quick fix.

total false alarm: 24796
total chain walk step due to false alarm: 91216416

Using the GCC Rcracki_mt (no cuda)
Everything the same

total false alarm: 24796
total chain walk step due to false alarm: 91216416

Question: Does it only use CUDA for pre-calc? Or does it also use cuda for false alarm checking aswell.
Looks like a nice speed boost to me.

Keep up the awesome work.

Edit: Ok, I've just read your msg so it's answered my question.
Time to test Version 4.

The false found bug is back, this time affecting MD5

Polynesia,
Have you downloaded any rainbow tables?
Also what are you typing into the command prompt?

UPDATE: The windows version has been updated to beta2. Please test it out throughly with the -g option and verify you get the same results with rcracki_mt 0.6.x (false alarm count, chainwalk step etc)

Anyone with the LIbeay32.dll error may find this useful

Perhaps bundle it with the rcracki_mt_cuda PB?
